I am a freelance writer based in Melbourne.
I acquired my first byline at age nine when my 'Big Fat Monster' poem graced the pages of my Year Four class yearbook. It went solid gold (star) for at least one week at the top of my teacher's 'best story' cardboard chart and so, my writing career began.
However it wasn't until I moved to Melbourne in 2004, after a flitting overseas for a while, that I took up the pen again. It's here I rediscovered my love of storytelling through food blogging which led me to my current writing career - a moving feast of creative and corporate writing gigs.
I like to keep things interesting. By day you'll find me at my super cool government communications role where I get to write all about Victoria's upcoming major events and projects. My week will include penning corporate newsletters, media releases, speech writing or diving into strategic planning.
By night and on weekends I work on freelance briefs which could entail anything from researching feature articles and whipping up branded content to food styling and photography.
Cabin fever is a constant companion so when I'm not tapping away at my laptop, you'll find me outdoors with soy flat white in hand taking in our beautiful city and daydreaming of my next international adventure which can never come soon enough.....
